This book has been primarily written for Chemistry Honors students with an emphasis on learning the subject through questions and answers. It will also be of immense help to postgraduate students in chemistry and those preparing for competitive examinations such as Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM), National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET), and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), where advanced knowledge in organic chemistry is essential. 

The first three chapters of the book provide problems on the basic and preliminary topics in organic chemistry. The next twelve chapters are dedicated to problems on the various classes of compounds. Subsequent chapters deal with problems based on specific reactions and methods in organic chemistry, such as pericyclic reactions and spectroscopic methods. An exclusive chapter has been dedicated to constitutional problems, wherein the reader has to deduce the organic compound by its properties and the reactions mentioned in the problem. The last chapter provides an exhaustive collection of miscellaneous problems in organic chemistry, to provide additional practice to the readers. In addition to providing a huge compendium of solved problems covering the wider span of the subject, this book also puts forward a collection of thought-provoking exercises at the end of each chapter to be solved.
